Will it float or sink?

Last week for science we were looking at what makes an object float or sink. We tested a variety of different materials such as a stick, plastic animal, leaf, counter etc. Before we dropped in the different material we make a prediction. Did we think it would sink or float? We then put our hypotheses to the test. The children put their science hats on and really got thinking about what makes a certain object float or sink.

Enjoy the photos of the scientists hard at work.
